Contractor Agreement
Network participation, contractor responsibilities and the current success-fee terms.
Current fee version: 2026-11-07-tiered-4-3-v3 · Effective November 7, 2026
What ElectriHelp provides
ElectriHelp helps organize electrical job requests and connect customers with independent participating electrical contractors. Contractor coverage and availability vary. Submitting a request does not book work or guarantee a quote, a response, a contractor match or a particular result.
ElectriHelp does not set the independent contractor’s price, accept the job on their behalf or collect the customer’s payment for the electrical work. Contractor success fees are separate and follow the policy below.
For contractors
- An application does not automatically activate your company or guarantee referrals. Business details, applicable licensing or credentials and insurance information must be reviewed before activation. Ontario applicants must be Licensed Electrical Contractor businesses with an ECRA/ESA licence; a journeyman or Master Electrician qualification alone is insufficient.
- Keep service areas, qualifications, insurance and availability accurate. Notify ElectriHelp of material changes or if you wish to pause participation.
- Only accept work your business is authorized, equipped and insured to perform. You are responsible for your estimates, workforce, permits, work quality, scheduling, invoices and payments.
- You may accept or decline opportunities. Participation is nonexclusive, and a customer may compare more than one contractor.
- Use customer information only for the approved job request and related service communication. Do not sell it or add customers to unrelated marketing lists without permission.
Contractor success fee · 4% / 3%
Effective November 7, 2026 · 2026-11-07-tiered-4-3-v3. These terms apply to new requests created after the contractor accepts this version in their account. When the customer accepts a priced quote in ElectriHelp, the contractor owes 4% on the first $10,000 of each accepted pre-tax quote, plus 3% on the amount above $10,000. The $10,000 threshold applies separately to each job, in the job currency (CAD for Canadian jobs; USD for U.S. jobs), not to monthly or annual contractor volume. The calculation includes labour and materials and excludes tax. Only the amount above $10,000 is charged at 3%. The fee applies to the agreed job or priced service call. Sending an estimate, receiving a lead or arranging an unpriced visit carries no fee. The contractor and customer agree on any deposit and pay each other directly.
Monthly statements and early payment
Accepted quotes appear on one monthly statement per currency. Pay the outstanding fees by the last day of the acceptance month for a 5% discount on those fees. Otherwise, pay the full balance by the end of the following month. Deadlines use Toronto time. A $5,000 pre-tax quote accepted in November earns a $200 fee. Pay $190 by November 30 or $200 by December 31. A $15,000 pre-tax quote earns a $550 fee: $400 on the first $10,000 plus $150 on the remaining $5,000. Its early-payment amount is $522.50.
Canadian jobs use CAD and U.S. jobs use USD. Sign in to see the job breakdown and payment options. Contact customerservice@electrihelp.com for verified transfer instructions or to request a correction for a cancellation, refund or revised quote. Overdue undisputed amounts can pause new invitations after delivery of the statement and payment instructions.
Earlier jobs retain their applicable fee version. Read previous contractor terms.
